LEAGUE RULES
Anti-Tanking
All franchises must win AT LEAST 55 games each season. An owner who fails to win 55 will be put on "Probation" for the following season, as judged upon by the Shoeless Joe Committee. By being put on probation, you MUST increase your win total by at least 5 games the following season. Failure to do so will result in a possible removal from the league, as judged upon by the Shoeless Joe Committee. If the owner stays in the league for two more seasons and he increases the win total by 5 games each season, he would be removed off “Probation”.
Cash In Trades
As voted on by the respective owners of the Shoeless Joe World, cash included in trades must NOT exceed salaries of the players in the trade. Failure to do so will result in a veto of the trade.
Cities
Franchises must remain in their current cities. Owners who remain in the world for 5+ seasons have the opportunity to move their franchise to another city. If they elect to do so, the city must have a home stadium less "extreme" than the current city. Less "extreme" is being defined as a ballpark with effects that are totaled fewer than "10". Owners can change cities once for every 5 seasons they stay in the world. (If they choose to do so) Only ONE owner may change cities (if applicable) per season.
Prospect Budget Cap
No team will be allowed to have more than a total of 30m in their prospect cash budget. Franchises who violate this rule must accept a 3M Prospect Cash penalty next season for every 1M gone over. Owners who fail to comply to this rule may risk removal from the league. This rule was made so all teams have a fair opportunity to sign any International Free-Agent discovered.
Maintaining Minor Leagues
All franchises must maintain their minor leagues. This includes having full rosters, making sure your pitching staffs are not "zeroed" out in energy, etc. You must also be able to protect your best minor league prospects from the Rule 5 Draft. Failure to do so will result in a possible removal from the league.
All league violations must be immediately reported to the League Commissioner, via Trade Chat or sitemail.
